ABOUT THIS JOB:
Got Light is looking for skilled light board operators for special events, corporate events, general sessions, product launches, and more! This is an on-call position as an independent contractor. We're looking for people who can easily jump in to assist with various events!
DESIRED SKILLS
- Proficient on the grandMA3.
- Basic knowledge of electricity, power distribution, and lighting equipment.
- Installation and operation of uplighting, theatrical fixtures, LED lights, dimming/control.
- Able to work efficiently and under pressure.
- Comfortable making changes on the fly.
EXPERIENCE
- Working with clients and lighting designers.
- Busking and Cueing.
- Programming of static/ambient lighting as well as concert/performance lighting.
- DMX over Ethernet (ART-NET, sACN) networking.
- Basic knowledge of circuit loads.
SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY
- On-call / event based work.
- Nights/Late Hours/Weekends
- Independent Contractor position
IC REQUIREMENTS
- Business License (EIN) required.
- Carry $1M in liability insurance.
QUALIFICATIONS | PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- General knowledge of event production or technical theater.
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to work quickly under pressure, and manage chaos with ease.
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
- Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working on ladders.
- Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists.
